Our History

Aurora World was established in 1981 in Seoul, South Korea as a plush design, manufacturing and sourcing business.  Since then, our company has grown into a world leading plush manufacturer and distributor, achieving worldwide recognition.  We now have additional offices in the UK, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.  In addition, the company has wholly owned factories in China and Indonesia.

As one of the leading global companies within the gift and toy industry, our aim each year is to develop high quality, original and innovative soft toys that really stand out and appeal to all age groups.

Our talented design team carry out extensive global market research to create and develop new items based upon latest market trends and crazes.  Our team also has the additional capability to create bespoke and promotional items to suit individual customer requirements.

Product safety is of paramount importance and we are proud of our rigorous quality assurance procedures.  Our plush toys are safe from birth upwards unless otherwise stated and are tested and comply with the latest EN71 regulations as well as all other relevant elements of the European Toy Safety Directive.

We supply over 45,000 retailers worldwide including zoos, theme parks and other tourist attractions, department stores, toy stores, gift chains and garden centres. 

Our fun and colourful products appeal to children and adults alike and are suitable for all occasions.  Our collections include nursery, wild and domestic animals, teddy bears and a host of other novelty characters.  Our best-selling YooHoo & Friends brand has won numerous awards and become a worldwide brand.

We are also privileged to partner with a number of prestigious licensors to produce soft toys including BT21, Chicken Run, Dr.Seuss, Mog the Forgetful Cat, Moomin, Room on the Broom, Shaun the Sheep, SMILEYWORLD, Stick Man, The Gruffalo, The Highway Rat, The Snail and the Whale, The Tiger Who Came To Tea, and Zog.
